Taking Back The Legislature 佔領立法會  and Inside The Red Brick Wall 理大圍城 made by  ers drew the audience’s attention at the Hong Kong Independent Film Festival 2020. The popularity of these films leads to questions regarding how filmmakers make use of their own cameras both to record and to witness social unrest, especially when facing police brutality? How did these films represent social problems on the screen and how did the audience respond to them? What are the obstacles these films face in distribution and how has the Hong Kong National Security Law influenced independent filmmaking?
