E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982)

Director: Steven Spielberg
Writer: Melissa Mathiso
Stars: Henry Thomas (Elliott), Drew Barrymore, Peter Coyote

In this scene, E.T. and the boys escape the authorities and media through flight on bikes. The shots are layered or superimposed with the use of green screen to create the illusion of flight. The moment they take off the group of boys and E.T. are almost center of the screen and then move to the upper thirds of the long shot and exit out of frame. Then there is a short montage of close-ups of the boys to show their reaction at defying gravity: the excitement, disbelief, and a little fear from one of the boys. The flight represents the bond they have and their wiliness to help each other.
